This information provides information on how cookies are used and how they can be controlled by the user. These tools will be used in conjunction with other information that Farmacia Santa Rita holds in its archives (art. 4, paragraph 6, GDPR: "any structured set of personal data accessible according to specific criteria, regardless of whether this set is centralized, decentralized or distributed in a functional or geographical way"), collected directly or indirectly, and which allow personalization of promotional communications and services to your interests and preferences.
This information on cookies and their management methods have been adopted in implementation of the Cookie Guidelines and other tracking systems of 10 June 2021, issued by the Guarantor.
The use of this website implies acceptance by the user of the use of cookies (and similar technologies) in accordance with the information provided in this document and the user's choices.
What are cookies
Cookies are information saved on the hard disk of the user's terminal and which are sent by the user's browser to a Web server and which refer to the use of the network. Consequently, they allow you to know the services, the sites visited and the options that have been displayed while surfing the net. In other words, cookies are small files, containing letters and numbers, which are downloaded to the user's computer or mobile device when a website is visited. Cookies are then re-sent to the original site on each subsequent visit, or on a other website that recognizes these cookies. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize the user's device.
Therefore, this information is not supplied spontaneously and directly, but leaves a trace of the user's browsing on the net.
Cookies perform various functions and allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences and, more generally, improving your experience. They can also help ensure that the advertisements shown while browsing are of interest to you and that the marketing activities carried out conform to your preferences, avoiding unwelcome promotional initiatives or ones that are not in line with the user's needs.
While browsing a site, the user can also receive cookies on his terminal that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties"), on which some elements may reside (e.g.: images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the user is visiting. There may therefore be, under this profile:
-
Direct cookies, sent directly from a site to the user's device.
-
Third party cookies, coming from a third party but sent on our behalf. This site uses third-party cookies to facilitate the analysis of our website and its use (as described below).
Furthermore, depending on the purpose of use of cookies, these can be divided into:
-
Technical cookies: they are used to allow the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network or to provide a service expressly requested by the user. They are not used for any other purpose. In the category of technical cookies, the use of which does not require the user's consent, the following are distinguished:
-
Navigation or session cookies: they guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (e.g.: to authenticate and access restricted areas). The use of these cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user's device and are normally automatically deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site.
-
Analytics cookies: if they are used only to collect information in aggregate form, on the number of users who visit the site and how they visit it. Analytics cookies, if from a third party, fall into the category of technical cookies only to the extent that at least the fourth part of the user's IP address is masked and if the third party does not combine them with other cookies or information in its possession to create profiles aimed at marketing and profiling activities.
-
Functionality cookies: they allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (e.g. language or services to which he has subscribed) to improve the service rendered to the user.
-
-
Profiling cookies: they are aimed at creating user profiles and used to send targeted promotional messages according to the preferences shown while surfing the net. These cookies can only be used for these purposes with the user's consent.
How cookies are used by this site
The following table summarizes how this site and third parties use cookies. These uses include the use of cookies to:
-
know the total number of visitors on an ongoing basis as well as the types of browsers (e.g.: Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer / Microsoft Edge) and operating systems (e.g. Windows, iOS) used;
-
monitor site performance, including how visitors use it, as well as to improve its functionality;
-
personalize and improve your online experience; And
-
allow user profiling, for targeted and personalized promotional purposes according to the preferences and interests expressed by the user online, both on this site and outside it. These cookies will also be combined for the creation of profiles for the purposes explained here with other information available to the owner by drawing from its archives. Finally, CDs also fall into this category. "fingerprinting" (form of passive tracking), a technique that allows the device used by the user to be identified by collecting all or some of the information relating to the specific configuration of the device itself. This technique can be used to achieve the same purposes of profiling also aimed at displaying personalized behavioral advertising and at analyzing and monitoring the behavior of website visitors, or to conform the type and methods of services rendered to the behavior of the user object of previous observation. This technique is not known to the user, because a reading technique is used which does not presuppose the archiving of information within the user's device, but the mere observation of the configurations which distinguish it making it identifiable, and whose outcome is substantiated in a "profile ” which remains in the sole availability of the first or third party that manages it. The user has no tools to deny consent except by addressing the first or third party directly.
Use of your IP address
Our servers automatically collect your IP address. This information is collected only to keep track of the acceptance or otherwise of the installation of cookies when accessing the site.
Technologies similar to cookies
As is the case with many websites, we use technologies similar to cookies, including local shared objects (also known as "flash cookies"), browser history analysis, browser fingerprinting and pixel tags (also known as " web beacons"). These technologies provide us and our suppliers with information about how visitors use the site and its content, and allow us to identify whether your computer or device has visited our sites or other sites in the past.
Our servers automatically collect your IP address; in this way, we can associate this address with the user's domain name or with that of its Internet Provider. We may also collect certain “clickstream data” relating to site usage. Clickstream data includes, for example, information relating to the user's computer or device, the browser and operating system and related settings, the page of origin, the pages and content viewed or clicked on during the visit as well as the times and methods of such operations, items you download, the site you visit after our site, and any search terms you enter on our site or a redirect site.
How to control or delete cookies
The user has the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies. Below is some information on how to exercise this right. However, please note that by choosing to refuse certain cookies, the user may not be able to use all the site's features and, if he has given consent to profiling on other occasions, the communications he will receive may not be relevant to his interests. It should also be noted that if you choose to manage cookie preferences, our cookie management tool will still set a technical cookie on your device to allow us to implement user preferences. Deleting or removing cookies from the user device also removes the preference cookie; these choices will therefore have to be made again.
It is possible to block cookies using the selection links in the table above. Alternatively, you can change your browser settings so that cookies cannot be stored on your device. To do this, you must follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually found in the "Help", "Tools" or "Edit" menu). Disabling a cookie or a category of cookies does not delete them from the browser. Therefore, this operation must be performed directly in the browser.
If you want to delete, disable or restore the cookies on your computer, you can use the cookie configuration pages made available by any third-party content providers, or through the user's browser options.
Below is a list of instructions for managing cookies in relation to the most popular browsers:
