My Treatments
Hands-On Reiki
Reiki is a form energy transmission that can induce a state of deep relaxation in which the body initiates its own natural, healing processes.

If you are familiar with Reiki, you will already know that regular treatments give the best results. However, for those of you who are new to Reiki; who intend to use Reiki as a support during a serious illness, or who are seeking to create lasting changes, it is strongly advised that you start with an intensive course of four sessions scheduled quite closely together, no more than a day or two apart. This will allow your body to wake up to the energy, recognise it, assimilate it, and then start to work with it. Thenceforth, successive treatments will be more effective and changes will come about at deeper levels and with greater ease.

Some people use Reiki like massage: they come once in a while, perhaps as a treat, knowing that they will feel great and deeply relaxed afterwards. Many professionals and academics come regularly for Reiki because they have recognised Reiki's restorative effect on the mind and nervous system that helps fend off the advance of burnout and mental exhaustion and keeps them at the peak of their performance.
What to expect when you come for a treatment
When you receive Reiki, you will be fully dressed, so do come to your treatment in clothes in which you will feel comfortable lying for two or three hours. If you like, you can change into your comfortable clothes once you arrive. The only thing that is important is that you feel perfectly comfortable.

After a short chat, I'll help you onto the table and get you as comfortable as possible. I'll then start the treatment. At first there will be a few moments of silence as I assess the condition of your energy field, and then I shall place my hands on the various positions on your body, which cover the torso, the head, the back and limbs.

Some people do not feel any particular sensations at all; others might feel tingling, warmth or coolness. Almost everybody feels very relaxed and often fall asleep. You are completely free to talk and to react and to express yourself, but I am free not to answer or participate. My job is to be a channel; your job is to let go and relax. If we both start chatting about Downton Abbey, I would be doing you a grave disservice.

At the end of the treatment, I will wake you up and help you off the table. Most of the time, people are too relaxed to want to talk about their session, but if you wish, I can give what feedback I can. However, I avoid giving any kind of analysis because the effects of the treatment continue for many hours afterwards.
Distance Reiki
Distance Reiki has exactly same effect as receiving Reiki in person. The only thing you'll miss is the warmth of my hands. The great advantage of Distance Reiki, of course, is that you can receive Reiki in the comfort of your own home, office or even when you are on holiday.

Just as with regular Reiki, it is best to receive Distance Reiki seated in a comfortable armchair or lying down. Distance Reiki can be every bit as relaxing as hands-on Reiki, so it is important to be able to let yourself go and fall asleep if you need to.

Distance Reiki does not require any physical contact. So if you wish to come to the office in person but prefer not to be touched, this method might be the right solution for you.

As a rule, I do not do Distance Reiki on a person unless I have their explicit permission, whether written or verbal. Please bear this in mind when arranging a Distance Reiki treatment for an other person.
The Distance Reiki Treatment
When you make your appointment, write in the Appointment Notes how you would like to be contacted such as Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger or good old-fashioned telephone. Do not forget to leave me your contact details, such as your nickname, email address or telephone number. At the time of your appointment, I will call you and we will have a little chat in which you can tell me what you would like from the session. At this point, we can either stay in contact or we can close the communication. I will start the treatment. If we stay in contact, you are free to tell me how you are feeling or ask me questions, but most people just prefer to relax. If you choose to hang up, I will call you again once I have finished the treatment. Either way, after a final check-in, I will bring the session to a close.

However, if you would like to conduct the session differently, please feel free to contact me ahead of time to see how we can make it work.
